You are invited to become a part of the Godly Girlfriends, one of the most exciting ministries here at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. It is our desire that women of all ages discover strength and healing that is available through the word of God. Our vision is 4-fold: To teach women to know God through His word. To equip women to reach beyond the walls of the church and into their communities that others might come to know Christ. To bring women into the fellowship of the church that they might grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. To minister to women where they are. H.O.P.E. Prayer Ministry The Women’s H.O.P.E. prayer ministry is a prayer chain ministry. It allows women to share prayer needs and requests, as well as, support to each other by uniting in prayer. Psalm 62:5 says “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my HOPE comes from him." Our avenue of communication with God is our prayer time. Through this we receive and maintain hope in our lives. As women in the body of Christ, we are to support, encourage, and teach each other. All it takes is 30 minutes in prayer once a week at a designated time that is convenient for you. You are provided a list of prayer needs and concerns each week. We will have guest speakers, food and LOTS of fun! Childcare will be provided. SPECIAL EVENTS Special events are planned for the Godly Girlfriends periodically through out the year. Events range from workshops, luncheons, Ladies night out, Beth Moore conferences, retreats….etc… WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP STUDIES Godly Girlfriends :: CHOCOLATE CAFÉ "Taste and see that the Lord is good." Psalm 34:8 A taste of Sunday evenings: Time: 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. In the fall and spring semester we offer classes that we pray will challenge, comfort and encourage our ladies in their journey with Jesus. There is a class for everyone……all ages!!
